These 6-month fellowships (November 2025 - April 2026) offer a crucial bridge for promising researchers to develop their careers while remaining embedded within our vibrant research community.

Robotics and AI Fellowship (1 position available)
Strategically aligned with our EPSRC-funded Doctoral Programmes (AgriFoRwArdS Centre for Doctoral Training and Doctoral Training Partnership).

Application Requirements
You must submit a comprehensive research proposal developed in collaboration with a Lincoln-based supervisor. The proposal should constitute a new and discrete body of work that progresses and exploits the outcomes of your doctoral research - this is extension funding, not continuation of PhD research.
Prior to applying, discussions regarding the planned research proposal must be held with a University of Lincoln academic staff member who is willing to act as the Fellowship Supervisor and host the project within their department.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Requirements:
PhD Thesis Submission: Must have submitted thesis through an EPSRC funded PhD programme between 1 January 2024 and 1 October 2025
EPSRC Alignment: Research must be predominantly within EPSRC's remit
Supervisor Commitment: Must have secured support from a Lincoln-based supervisor before application
Thesis Status: Thesis must be submitted before fellowship commencement (October 2025)
