Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled EQHS Manager to develop, implement, and maintain all Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety (EQHS) policies and procedures within our electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing operations. The role ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes sustainability, enhances workplace safety, and drives product quality through effective policy frameworks and management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development & Implementation:

Develop, write, and implement comprehensive EQHS policies

aligned with industry regulations, company objectives, and best practices. Ensure

all EQHS policies, procedures, and guidelines

comply with

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, OSHA, EPA

, and other relevant standards. Regularly review and update policies to align with

new regulations, industry advancements, and company goals

. Train employees on newly established and updated EQHS policies, ensuring clear communication and compliance. Maintain

document control systems

to track policy revisions, approvals, and distribution.
Environmental Compliance & Sustainability:

Develop and enforce

environmental policies

to ensure compliance with

local, state, and federal environmental laws

(e.g., EPA, ISO 14001). Implement programs for

waste reduction, carbon footprint minimization, and energy efficiency

. Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Drive

corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives

related to sustainability and eco-friendly manufacturing practices.
Quality Assurance & Control:

Establish and maintain

quality management policies

in compliance with

ISO 9001 and IATF 16949

. Develop and monitor

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs)

for quality assurance. Oversee

supplier quality policies

, ensuring all incoming materials and components meet

EV industry standards

. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as

Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen

to enhance production efficiency. Conduct

internal audits and risk assessments

, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed.
Health & Safety Management:

Develop and enforce

occupational health and safety policies

to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct

risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety audits

to identify and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with

OSHA, ISO 45001, and local workplace safety regulations

. Implement

emergency response plans, safety training programs, and PPE guidelines

. Investigate

workplace incidents

and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure all

EQHS policies

align with

automotive and EV industry regulations

(e.g., NHTSA, UN ECE, ISO 26262 for functional safety). Maintain documentation and records for compliance audits,

government inspections, and regulatory reporting

. Act as the

primary point of contact

for regulatory agencies and auditors.
Leadership & Training:

Lead and mentor a team of

quality, safety, and environmental specialists

. Foster

cross-functional collaboration

with production, engineering, and executive teams. Conduct

training programs

to ensure all employees understand and adhere to EQHS policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree

in

Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Quality Management, or a related field

.

5+ years of experience

in EQHS management, preferably in the

automotive, EV, or manufacturing industry

. Strong expertise in

policy writing, documentation control, and regulatory compliance

. In-depth knowledge of

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, OSHA, EPA regulations

. Experience with

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies

. Strong

risk assessment, root cause analysis (RCA), and CAPA implementation skills

. Certifications such as

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lead Auditor for ISO standards

are a plus. Excellent

analytical, leadership, communication, and training skills
