Equine Coach / Assessor

Job Description
The Orchard Equine College Is seeking a coach to join our team on a part-time basis.
This rewarding role involves delivering riding lessons, supporting practical equine training, and assisting learners through assessments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, safe riding lessons for learners of all abilities Support students in achieving equine-based qualifications and skills Maintain high standards of horse care and welfare Promote inclusion, confidence, and wellbeing in all sessions Uphold safeguarding and health & safety policies Work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team
Essential Requirements
Confident and competent rider Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive, professional, and patient attitude
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Two professional references
Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience working in alternative provision, SEN, or youth settings Coaching or assessing experience BHS stage 2 or equivalent equine coaching qualification
