With stores in Longborough (HQ), Thame, and Alton-and a 12-acre timber yard-we offer over 20,000 products, from nuts and bolts to fencing and large animal handling systems.

ROLE SUMMARY



We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Equine Sales Representative to join our team. As our Equine Sales Rep, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and exceptional customer service to our equine clientele in Alton, a region renowned for its strong equine community. Our in-house equine division specializes in selling a wide range of products, including bedding, feed, supplements, yard equipment, and accessories tailored to the needs of horse owners and equine professionals.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:



Develop and maintain a strong client base within the equestrian industry. Conduct regular visits to potential and existing customers to promote products and understand their needs. Present and demonstrate products to customers, highlighting their features and benefits. Provide expert advice and support on equine products and care, answering questions and addressing concerns. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments to provide informed recommendations. Gather feedback from customers to relay to management for product improvement and service enhancement. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts using the company's CRM system.

KEY COMPETENCIES:



Passion for equine and a strong understanding of equine care and products. Previous sales experience, preferably in the equine or agricultural sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients easily. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to effectively close sales. Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team. Flexibility to travel within the designated territory as required.
