About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Employee & Industrial Relations (ER/IR) Manager/Advisor to join our project team on major energy infrastructure developments. This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of workforce strategies, ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, and maintaining strong working relationships with unions, employees, and management.
You will provide guidance and support on all ER/IR matters, helping to foster a collaborative and productive workplace culture on site while ensuring adherence to legislative and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate advice on employee and industrial relations matters to project management and site teams.
Support the implementation of workforce strategies aligned with project and organisational objectives.
Monitor compliance with enterprise agreements, awards, and relevant legislation.
Build and maintain constructive relationships with unions, employee representatives, and key stakeholders.
Assist with grievance and dispute resolution processes, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
Contribute to site communications, engagement initiatives, and change management processes.
Maintain accurate ER/IR records, reports, and documentation.
Support audits, reporting, and compliance reviews as required.
Provide input into training and awareness programs related to ER/IR practices and site behaviours.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated experience in an ER/IR role within construction, resources, or infrastructure industries.
Strong understanding of the HSAWA and other applicable managerial standards.
Ability to interpret and apply enterprise agreements and awards.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, site-based environment.
Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical outcomes.
Experience working on large-scale project environments is highly desirable.
