Institutional investor engagement with public companies is increasing globally due to emerging regulatory requirements and voluntary frameworks. As a global corporate governance and proxy voting leader with two decades of experience, Glass Lewis\xe2\x80\x99 Stewardship Solutions provide a range of services to assist institutional investors to enhance their engagement programs. Our Stewardship Solutions are designed to accommodate a range of needs, from a SaaS-based tracking and reporting platform to a fully custom service that leverages our Stewardship team to perform and manage engagement campaigns on behalf of institutional investor clients. The ESG Engagement Manager will work with the Stewardship team to help support Glass Lewis\xe2\x80\x99 Stewardship Solutions by:

  • Managing relations and deliverables for assigned Custom Engagement Services investor clients
  • Researching ESG themes for engagement with corporate issuers
  • Leading engagement meetings with corporate issuers on behalf of investor clients
  • Producing reporting for institutional investor clients
  • Supporting other Stewardship Solutions, including the Active Stewardship Engagement service
  • Managing data generated by the Stewardship Solutions offering
  • Contributing to the evolution of the ESG themes covered in the Active Stewardship Engagement Solution
  • Monitoring ESG regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned
Contract: Permanent (following completion of probationary period) Start Date: January 2024 Location: Europe - Ireland, UK, France or Germany Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in ESG research and engagement
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate sustainability/ESG issues and existing sustainability frameworks (i.e. UN PRI, SASB, TCFD, SFDR, SRD II), and the ability to identify and evolve emerging ESG engagement trends in alignment with client demand
  • Expertise in corporate climate risk, biodiversity, human and labour rights desirable
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong data management and analytical skills
  • Collaborative, team-player with a continuous improvement mind-set
  • IT skills; proficiency in Excel and online research tools
Languages
  • Fluency in English is essential; professional command of the main languages used in continental Europe or Asia is an advantage
