Full training is given but ideally, we would like our candidates to have a

minimum 12 months working in a hospitality or retail environment. Barista experience is welcome, but you will be given full training to our very own brand standards. Being open minded and willing to learn is key - a passion for Coffee, Cake, Ice Cream - all food & drink is ideal!

Supervisor - Job Briefing:



As a member of the Front of House team at our Deli Coffee Shop, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to everyone who visits our outlet. You'll be the face of the Esposito's brand, representing our values and commitment to quality. Working closely with the Coffee Shop Manager, this is a hands-on role involving a variety of tasks, including taking orders, serving food, drinks, and ice cream, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for both customers and staff, and completing end-of-day deep cleans.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience providing excellent customer service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be a reliable, enthusiastic team player.

Key Responsibilities & Personal Attributes:



Key responsibilities will include working on budget trackers and rota software, stock checks. Taking customer orders and payments, this will involve being trained on using the till to process payments correctly. Serving ice cream, food and drink to brand standards and eventually learning how to make coffee with our in-house barista training. There will be cleaning responsibilities to company standards such as clearing tables, washing up and the end of day clean down. Training for all these tasks will follow a step-by-step process with full support from the manager, other supervisors and team members.

Candidates with barista & food serving skills are welcome to apply but training will be given. A passion for coffee, good food and giving a great customer experience are most important.

Important qualities we are looking for in the successful candidate is someone able to work well as part of a team, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced customer facing environment. Keeping up a good pace of work to clear queues during busy periods is a key attribute in this role. Having good communication skills to support the flow of service and solve problems if they arise.

Being able to work to targets set by the manager and head office team is essential. Keyholding duties is a key responsibility of this role.

Being punctual & presentable is a responsibility of all team members across the company, personal hygiene is of the utmost importance. Arriving at work in a timely manner to start your shift and having time to read through any team briefings is an important part of the working day to ensure things run smoothly.

Being flexible and willing to work overtime will be a requirement of this role.

Other Duties & Responsibilities are:

Support the manager with the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop.
Use till systems - Taking orders accurately and processing payments.
Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends & holidays)
Flexible to work across 7 days (Monday to Sunday)
Team player who can work under pressure.
Always adhere to standards set by the Food Safety Agency and ensure that all staff follow the SFBB (Safer Food Better Business) guidelines.
Promote new items and upsell products to customers.
Excellent communication skills
Punctual & Presentable at all times.
Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy.
Keyholding duties
Nurture relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our brand reputation.
