Permanent Full Time finish 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Are you looking for a new opportunity within the work-based learning industry and have a passion for working with youths aged 16 to 19 ? We are looking to recruit an essential skills tutor to join our growing team to train and assess our youth learners to gain knowledge and competence in essential skills. Covering Literacy, Numeracy, and digital literacy.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • Providing literacy, numeracy and digital literacy support to learners within workshop or one to one setting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Timely achievement of their Essential Skills qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Registering, arranging, conducting and invigilating controlled tasks with learners \xe2\x80\xa2 Supporting and helping motivate young people on their Wellbeing and GoForIt days to help improve their team working skills and confidence
Responsible for carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining quality standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining accurate, up to date records of all assessment activities \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all learner documentation required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Covering a regional area, travelling to visit learners at various Centre locations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contributing to the planning, monitoring and achievement of agreed performance targets \xe2\x80\xa2 Continuously developing learning materials and resources to support delivery requirements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining positive working relationships with learners and colleagues

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience of delivering Essential Skills Qualifications up to Level 2 \xe2\x80\xa2 Full driving licence with use of own vehicle

Desirable \xe2\x80\xa2 Qualified Assessor qualification or with the potential and willingness to work towards \xe2\x80\xa2 City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills \xe2\x80\xa2 L3 Essential Skills Practitioner Certificate
