Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live in Carers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of patient care, including but not limited to, assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and companionship. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with special needs.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor for any side effects. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are upheld. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred. Familiarity with senior care practices, including hospice and dementia care. Certification in first aid is advantageous. Experience in caregiving roles that involve patient care and behaviour management will be highly regarded. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients when necessary. Childcare experience may be beneficial for those working with families needing support. Pay: 150.00-165.00 per day
