Job Description

We are seeking a strategic Business Development Director who has a passion for growth and driving business success, thriving on building long term relationships and capturing new opportunities.

As our Business Development Director, you'll be at the forefront of our expansion efforts. You'll develop and implement strategic plans, lead tender submissions, and work with internal teams to drive income and grow our portfolio.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with our Group CEO and Corporate Department. It is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and the wider industry, and is instrumental in our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities of the role:



Identify and secure new business opportunities across B2B and B2C markets. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including developers and BTR businesses. Lead on tender opportunities, costings, and digital submissions. Collaborate with senior leaders across the APG network. Represent APG at industry events, conferences, and networking forums. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy. Recommend pricing and service structure changes to enhance competitiveness. Deliver persuasive pitches and presentations tailored to client needs.

The Successful Candidate will have:



Proven experience in business development / growth strategy, ideally within the property sector. Strong local network and ability to influence senior stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strategic mindset with a proactive, self-starting attitude. Experience with tender documentation and onboarding processes. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of P&L, budgeting, and forecasting. Full UK Driving Licence required.

Location:

The jobholder will be required to work across various sites in addition to working remotely. This will include being visible within the business branch network in the South West and East and at head office when necessary.

100% attendance is expected on requested away days, including training days and agreed meetings.
