The Role
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Manager to join our Colchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a property professional with strong valuation experience who also wants to be hands-on in selling and letting properties, while developing their career within an expanding brand.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate sales and lettings valuations through prospecting, networking, and local market knowledge
Conduct market appraisals and confidently present Durden & Hunt's services to potential clients
Convert valuations into instructions and then actively sell and let properties, managing the process from instruction through to completion
Carry out viewings, negotiate offers, and progress deals to deliver the best results for clients
Support the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations, staff motivation, and driving branch performance
Deliver excellent customer service and uphold the professional reputation of the Durden & Hunt brand
Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in generating valuations is essential
Experience in taking on instructions is highly desirable, but training and support will be provided
You will be hands-on in both sales and lettings - if you are stronger in one area, we will provide full training and support in the other
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills
Ambitious, self-motivated, and target-driven personality
Local area knowledge is advantageous but not essential

This role offers a competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission, giving you the security of a guaranteed income with the ability to significantly increase your earnings based on performance.
