Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a "can do" attitude for a Private Estate based in the Highlands near Inverness.

The position holds a broad range of responsibilities with a variety of jobs. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate some of the following:

The ability to work well with other estate staff with good communication skills, but also to work on their own. Help out on shoot days working closely with the owners and housekeeper. This will include some Saturdays over the shooting season A good array of property maintenance skills including painting/decorating, basic carpentry, plumbing and minor electrical works, and ability to understand heating and water systems Knowledge to look after private vehicles Keeping a good stock of firewood for the main house including laying up fires when required Helping with clearing fallen branches and leaves Able to maintain a tennis court Knowledge of period properties and associated repairs and maintenance General strimming around the estate Comfortable working at heights on a ladder Ability to use power tools and machinery safely and effectively Willingness to help the gardener, housekeeper and game keepers when required Has a proactive attitude regarding regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify areas that need attention Self-motivated
The position would suit someone that is flexible in their approach to prioritising tasks with a high level of attention to detail, exemplary timekeeping and is happy to work in varied weather climates. On site accommodation will be provided.

Please note, on occasion there may be the requirement to visit sites on the wider estate and therefore a full driving licence is required.
