About the Role



A prominent private family seeks an

exceptional Estate Manager (EM)

to oversee the seamless management and operation of their principal country estate and two additional residences. The Estate Manager will lead all household teams, contractors, and service providers to ensure the highest possible standards across all properties.

This is a pivotal, hands-on leadership role for a seasoned professional who combines outstanding operational management with refined interpersonal skills, impeccable discretion, and a deep understanding of luxury service.

The Estate Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a world-class, detail-oriented environment while representing the family's interests across the UK and France.

Key Responsibilities



Estate & Process Management



Oversee all day-to-day estate operations, including housekeeping, service, and maintenance across three properties. Ensure efficient processes and SOPs are implemented and followed, particularly within hospitality and service. Coordinate personal and household travel, diary management, and event logistics. Manage the family's art collection, including acquisition, curation, insurance, and cataloguing. Maintain comprehensive records and databases for household contacts, suppliers, and projects. Liaise with the family's Private Office to deliver timely updates, reports, and briefings. Ensure all security, IT, and compliance systems are effectively maintained.

Financial & Administrative Oversight



Oversee all household and estate finances, budgets, and supplier payments. Supervise the accountant and coordinate financial reporting with the family office. Manage contracts, insurance policies, and third-party agreements with discretion and precision. Represent the family in dealings with local authorities, architects, designers, and project stakeholders.

People Management



Lead, mentor, and inspire household staff across all properties. Manage recruitment, HR administration, and performance in partnership with the Family Office. Oversee third-party contractors and ensure the highest operational standards.

Event & Hospitality Management



Coordinate private lunches, dinners, receptions, and larger-scale events (up to 100+ guests). Manage budgets, liaise with caterers, and ensure flawless delivery of each occasion. Build and maintain high-level connections within hospitality, the arts, and entertainment sectors.

Candidate Profile



Required Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree 10-15 years' experience managing private estates, luxury hospitality, or large properties. Demonstrated success leading teams and operations within a private household or five-star hospitality environment. Strong financial literacy with experience managing significant budgets and assets. Proven experience in event coordination, private travel logistics, and complex scheduling. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and CRM systems. Fluent in

English and French
