Job Description


Abbotsley Farms Ltd are seeking an Estate Worker to join their 2500-acre conservation focused Estate near St Neots in Cambridgeshire.

The Estate comprises a mixture of arable land, woodland, tenanted residential and commercial property, renewable energy enterprises, storage businesses and environmental stewardship agreements. The majority of the arable land is contract farmed by a local business, but the remaining property and businesses are run in house.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, diligent and flexible person with a passion for conservation. Projects will be varied and require a wide range of skills. These will include:

  • Habitat creation and maintenance of stewardship agreement
  • Small scale woodland management
  • Deer and pest management
  • Grass cutting
  • Simple property maintenance
  • Contractor liaison and security
  • General estate tasks
Appropriate training courses will be arranged where required.

A highly competitive remuneration package is available to the right candidate. Accommodation may be available if required.

Full time role - 40 hours a week.

Full (clean) UK driving licence is required. Tractor and estate machinery experience is required.

Shotgun and Firearms Licence preferable.
