The Role

The

Estimating Analyst

working as part of the Business Development Team and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager at Sigma's Hinckley site, you will be responsible for quoting, analysing and planning of work into the business. This includes participation and development of estimating services and supporting projects to identify risks.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain estimate analysis and plans for various phases of projects in line with standards and requirements.

Critically review and analyse productivity and resource estimates, identifying impacts on cost and schedule, challenging the external estimates as needed.

Provide accurate analysis within the quotation process from customer data.

Manage daily communication calls or attend meetings with internal departments, customers, raw material suppliers and service providers, to ensure the most up to date information and questions are answered. The result of which are to be communicated to the wider team a Sigma.

Assess and analyse product performance through margin analysis and investigate cost reduction opportunities.

Work collaboratively with other members of the Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Epicor Teams.

Liaise with members of the team and colleagues at other Sigma sites in the preparation of analysis and commercial proposals.

Provide accurate translation of customer drawings and specifications within the quotation process.

Provide detailed manufacturing cost estimates of machined components and/or complex pipe assemblies, for the preparation of the bill of materials required for the quotation to the customer.

Essential Qualifications:

High level of IT understanding and experience (including advanced excel, pivot tables and v lookups)
Experience in relation to data analysis
Experience and knowledge of cost estimating tools, techniques, software/tools
Skilled application of estimating methodologies to various phases and project complexity.
Experience of effectively assess project costs and risk and to assure estimates are realistic and predictable.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of estimating support experience Demonstrated ability to collect, organize and apply internal and external benchmarking

HOURS & BENEFITS

Monday - Thursday: 7.30am to 4.30pm (30mins lunchbreak)

Friday: 7.30am - 12.30pm (No lunchbreak)

25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

4% Pension Employer contribution
