Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Electrical Estimator

with a strong background in

electrical engineering

and a proven track record in

HV infrastructure

,

DNO/IDNO networks

, and

EV charging projects

. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring technical compliance and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for HV/LV electrical infrastructure projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects across eMobility, residential developments, and renewable energy (solar and BESS). Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather technical and commercial inputs. Evaluate and incorporate DNO/IDNO connection requirements and HV design standards into estimates. Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy, scope alignment, and competitiveness. Develop and maintain cost databases, pricing models, and estimation tools. Support the development of project budgets, risk assessments, and value engineering proposals. Stay current with industry standards, regulations (e.g., G81, BS7671), and emerging technologies in the electrical and energy sectors. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all estimation activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

2+ years of experience

in electrical estimating, preferably within HV infrastructure, DNO/IDNO environments, or EV charging. Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, cabling, and protection schemes. Familiarity with DNO/IDNO processes, grid connections, and utility coordination. Experience with renewable energy systems (solar PV, BESS) and eMobility infrastructure is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimation software (e.g., Trimble, Conquest, or similar). Excellent analytical, commercial, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,500.00-50,000.00 per year
