Estimation Engineer

The Role

As an Estimation Engineer, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive costings and quotations for customers. Working closely with sales, design, and production teams, you'll ensure proposals are technically accurate, commercially sound, and delivered within agreed deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and customer enquiries to prepare detailed estimates. Preparing and issuing formal quotations in line with company standards. Providing technical and commercial support to the sales team during the bidding process. Maintaining quotation records and updating stakeholders. Liaising with internal engineering teams to resolve technical queries. Identifying opportunities to improve estimating processes and competitiveness.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, combined with solid industry experience.

Essential criteria:

Previous experience in estimating or quotations within a manufacturing/engineering environment. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (and willingness to learn estimating software). Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

Experience with CAD/SolidWorks.
