Following a period of significant growth, we're expanding our Manchester Estimating team and are seeking

Estimators at all levels

to join us.


This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Estimator to join our Pre-Construction Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed estimates for tenders for large-scale glazing and cladding projects taking into account cost, time and client expectations.


This role is based in our Manchester Office in Bury but may require travel across the UK to our sites and to our HQ in Ballymena, NI.

About The Role



Role Summary




As an Estimator, you will:

Prepare tender submissions, estimates and proposals within agreed deadlines and quality standards Analyse and estimate value engineering opportunities to ensure bids are competitive Carry out quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and unit rate build-ups Prepare, issue, follow up and negotiate supplier enquiries & quotations Complete tender checklists and final bid submissions Follow up and negotiate submitted tenders, attending review meetings as required Receive and log tender enquiries, maintaining clear communication with clients on tender status Prepare project information packs for handover to the delivery team Attend internal tender review and project handover meetings Work closely with the design team and in-house experts to provide innovative, client-focused solutions Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and project teams

At Senior Estimator level, additional responsibilities include:

Leading the preparation of complex bids and overseeing high-value tenders Reviewing and checking drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance Mentoring apprentices or new team members and sharing knowledge across the business Providing guidance, advice and support to continuously improve team performance Playing a key role in negotiations with clients and stakeholders Contributing to strategic bid decisions and business development opportunities Driving innovation and best practice within the estimating function

Required Criteria



Minimum of 3 years' estimating experience or at least 3 years' construction industry experience Proven ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Sound knowledge of general construction methods Excellent client-facing/networking skills Sound communication, numerical & literacy skills High standard of organisational and time management skills High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Desired Criteria



Estimating experience in the Facade industry (cladding and/or glazing) Technical knowledge of SFS, Rainscreen Cladding Technical knowledge of Glazing systems HNC level qualification or above, preferably in construction or engineering related subject Experience pricing with LogiKal, TechDesign or Schuecal software Experience in pricing unitised facades Experience in pricing re:purpose projects Experience with knowledge of Access, Methodology and Prelims

Skills Needed




Establishing Rapport With Clients, Building Design Software, Budgeting and Forecasting
