Role overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Utilisation of AutoCAD and Excel to create detailed project estimates. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and ensure accurate cost projections. Conduct site measurements and assessments. Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Prepare and present estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference. Assist in the development of bid proposals and tender submissions.

Experience

Proven experience as an Estimator in a relevant industry is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
