Job Overview
Due to continued expansion we require an experienced Estimator to join our team. Some experience of fabrication / glass balustrades & staircases/ Heritage glass screens, would be beneficial to the role.
Responsibilities
Taking calls and booking surveys Analyse project requirements and collaborate with managers/directors to ensure all aspects are considered in the estimation process. Develop relationships with clients and key customers Prepare quotation and send to the customer within an agreed timeframe Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, including calculations and assumptions made during the estimation process. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing where necessary, along with ordering stock for jobs. Follow up quotations in a timely manner and make every effort to convert into business Assist with all areas of general administration within the business.
Experience
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimation software and tools for accurate calculations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment.
