Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a leading fire door and passive fire construction specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing and highly reputable company that nurtures and develops talent.

The Role



The purpose of this role is to take ownership of cost estimating, tender preparation, and financial analysis across a range of projects, helping to deliver high-quality, compliant fire door and passive fire solutions.

You will be responsible for preparing competitive bids, analysing drawings and specifications, and ensuring estimates are accurate, realistic, and commercially viable.

Pay: 28,000.00-33,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities (Duties):



Produce accurate and timely quotations for projects

Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions in collaboration with the Commercial Manager and team

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements

Analyse material, labour, and subcontractor costs to support competitive pricing

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain best value quotes

Support the monitoring of project costs and performance against estimates

Maintain organised estimating records and tender documentation

Collaborate with site teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-construction to delivery

About you



Previous construction estimating experience (essential)

Qualified by experience or degree-level education (Construction-related discipline)

Strong Excel skills and good general IT proficiency

Excellent communication skills for liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and clients

High attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach

Ability to work as part of a collaborative team

Strong time management and organisational skills

Enthusiasm to learn, develop, and progress in a growing business
