Estimator

for our client who is a civil engineering and building contractor.

About the Role:

As an

Estimator

, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tenders and budgets, including obtaining supporting quotations for subcontract work, materials and plant. You will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness Analysing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine project requirements Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Collaborating with project managers and clients to refine estimates Keeping up to date with market trends and pricing fluctuations

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator Must have Main Contractor working experience Experience working in Energy, Flood defence and water, Effluent treatment, Waste management, Retail and Commercial is preferred Experience working in Industrial buildings, small/medium scale civil engineering projects, drainage and concrete structures is necessary Working contract knowledge - NEC3 Options A and B, JCT, ICE Civil Engineering and/or Quantity Surveying degree Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
