We are seeking an Estimator join our Building team, this role can be based from our offices in London or our Head Office at Leavesden (Watford). The Building Operating Unit work across a number of flagship construction projects in Central London as well across major public sector projects within the regions.
What you'll do:
Prepare all financial elements and components of the tendering process from identification and authorisation to proceed to financial handover and beyond if necessary under supervision.
On larger projects aid and assist the senior project estimator to develop the information into a competitive cost estimate.
Prepare all necessary financial documents for the Chief Estimator, Operations Director and Managing Director reviews under supervision.
Assist the bidding team with any post tender negotiations as required.
Ensure all financial figures presented are arithmetically correct, and the "Causeway" estimating system has been used.
Liaise with Skanska Building Services in conjunction with MEP and FS financial and cost input into submissions.
Price the PCSA and Preliminaries in conjunction with the Project Director, Operations Lead, Planning Manager and other necessary personnel.
What you'll bring to the role:
Experience of estimating for large building projects.
Experience of pricing tenders using computerised estimating system(s) (Causeway preferred)
Security Clearance
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
