We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered and accounted for. This role requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to analyse project specifications and requirements effectively.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates using state of the art estimating technology.
Conduct thorough analysis of labour, materials, and overhead costs to ensure accurate pricing.
Collaborate with clients and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Support clients with value engineering projects, where required.
Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates, following internal processes
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating accuracy.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry - residential mandatory.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite - including Teams.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A relevant degree or qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
