Job Summary

ADS Painters and Decorators are one of the leading painting sub contractors in London working with blue chip companies, who are looking to appoint a full time Estimator to join the team due to expansion, based in our offices in Romford, Essex.

You will be part of the commercial team managing the full estimating process from initial enquiries to tender adjudication and submittal.

A strong background in the construction industry is essential ideally with 5 years or more experience. Familiarity with major fit out and new build residential projects would be an advantage and experience within painting and decorating industry would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Conduct site visits where necessary Analyse project plans and specifications. Extract information from drawings and tender documents to calculate costs for materials, plant, labour in line with agreed programmes of work and procurement schedules. Measurements using measuring software packages. Producing Bill of Quantities. Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers where required. Prepare tenders for adjudication with directors. Submit tenders and address post-tender queries and value engineering proposals.
You will need to be proficient with Microsoft office and measuring software's such as On Screen Take off (OST)

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
