Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the preparation and management of project estimates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to analyse project specifications effectively.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets. Monitor ongoing projects for compliance with estimated costs, providing updates and adjustments as necessary. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing changes. Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and project changes for future reference.

Skills

Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in cost control methodologies and practices. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients. Familiarity with estimating software and tools is advantageous.
