Estimator

Location: Handsworth, Sheffield

Job Type: Full-time Position

We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join the Powertherm team. The candidate will assist the existing Estimating team to provide quotations and tenders in line with client requirements.

A typical day in your role as an Estimator will involve:

Prepare accurate pricing schedules from drawings, BoQ's and client information. Clearly define scope, specifications and allowances in quote/tender submissions. Interpreting client requirements, identifying value engineering and costs of quality. Ensuring any technical or design-led aspects are in accordance with any statutory requirements including BS EN and standard methods of measurement. Working with clients on tender queries and maintaining relationships. Submit quotations and tenders to deadlines, proactively securing extensions if required. Ensure basic forms of contracts and terms are reviewed and qualify the estimate accordingly. Assisting the Contract/Commercial team to analyse trends and norms for more accurate costing. Liaising with other departments across the company. Liaising with the Purchasing department for up-to-date material prices. Visit sites to assist in the preparation of estimates. Ensuring the Estimating Process is adhered to. Ensure 'Lessons Learned' from project de-briefs are considered and implemented where necessary. Challenge all individuals associated with the estimating process to drive continuous improvement.

It would be desirable if you have the following:

Proficient in Mathematics & English Proficient in Excel Able to present data in a logical and easy to understand manner Administrative skills Estimating experience
