We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the work are considered. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to analyse various project components to provide precise estimates that align with project goals.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and other relevant information. Conduct thorough analyses of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data and clarify project details. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Maintain accurate records of estimates, including calculations and methodologies used. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals as required. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
