The Role:



We have an opportunity for an Estimating Manager/Estimator to join our team in Stirling.

Reporting to the Land Director you will be responsible for:

Ensure cost plan templates and cost library is regularly maintained/updated with current costs/rates. Preparation of Land Viabilities for Land Bids. Preparation of Abnormal Costs based on Engineers designs and other information provided include advising any provisional assessments/exclusions/risks included within these costs. Discussing and obtaining quotes from relevant subcontractors for inclusion within Abnormal Costs. Assist in negotiation/agreement of Abnormal Costs with Client/Agent and their representatives. Regularly updating Viabilities as required up to and including Commencement Appraisal. Assist in the design evolution to target value engineering and best value. Preparation of Groundworker Tender Analysis ensuring all tenders received are fully completed and are compliant with the site design. Preparation of Specialist trades (Grouting, Soil Stabilisation, Piling, etc works) Tender Analysis ensuring all tenders are fully compliant with the site design. Preparation of Commencement budget to include successful/appointed Groundworkers and Specialist Trades tenders ensuring all necessary costs are fully included within same. Advise any risks/assumptions included within Commencement Budget. Input Commencement budget onto Housebuild system. Formally manage the handover of Commencement budget to Commercial Team include discussing/advising costs included within same. Assist the Land Director/Manager in the preparation of Land Bid documentation, Heads of Terms and Missives.

About You:



Skills/Quantities/Experience:



Relevant related qualification preferred (RICS, Surveying Degree or HNC/HND)

Excellent understanding of Engineering Designs

Excellent working relationship with subcontractors.

High Level of computer literacy in MS Office

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Enthusiastic, self motivated, solutions focused approach

Methodical, conscientious and organised, work to deliver high standards

Sound knowledge of the construction process and technical constraints

Ability to work as a team and on own initiative

Wide experience in Surveying/Estimating within the Housebuild industry.

Knowledge of Bluebeam measuring tools preferred

Knowledge of Housebuild system preferred.
