Estimator - High-Quality Construction Projects (1m and under)

We're looking for an experienced and self-sufficient Estimator to join our growing team at Spiller Builders. Based in Bristol, we specialise in high-end residential refurbishments and commercial fit-outs across the South of England, with project values typically up to 1 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is technically capable, commercially astute, and confident managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission. Working closely with both our pre-construction and delivery teams, you'll play a key role in helping us secure and deliver quality-led projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates across all major construction packages Interpret tender documentation, drawings, and specifications Complete quantity take-offs and bills of quantities where required Source competitive supplier and subcontractor quotations Identify risks, exclusions, and opportunities within tender returns Contribute to pre-construction planning and methodology discussions Maintain clear documentation and tender audit trails Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as necessary

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in an Estimator role within the construction industry Solid technical understanding across a wide range of building trades and materials Ability to independently price works up to 1 million Proficiency in Excel and estimating software. Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness Clear and confident communicator A team player with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
