Role Overview



As an Estimator/ Project Manager, you will support the commercial and operational teams by preparing accurate quotations, assessing tender documents, analysing technical drawings, and contributing to commercial decision-making across a wide range of fire protection projects. You'll play a key part in AFT Group's continued success, ensuring we price competitively, deliver compliantly, and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications Preparing accurate, well-structured estimates and quotations Working with commercial and operational managers to produce pricing strategies Supporting bid submissions, client proposals and commercial reporting Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers for material rates and technical information Evaluating risk, value engineering options and commercial opportunities Maintaining and developing internal estimating systems and processes Supporting the wider team on contract variations, cost analysis and performance data Contributing to the growth of a highly respected fire protection provider Managing own workloads Hands on Project Management - Meeting clients on-site and building relationships

What We're Looking For



Experience in estimating or quantity surveying

(desirable, not essential)

A structured, analytical and detail-driven approach Strong numerical, commercial and IT skills Excellent communication and report-writing ability A willingness to learn, develop and progress Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and take ownership A genuine interest in fire protection, building safety and compliance

Degree-level qualification

in construction, surveying, engineering or related field

(ideal but not essential)
