Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of tenders/quotations together with managing project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of cost control methods.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects and provide recommendations. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project specifications and compliance with regulations. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements for procurement processes. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential issues affecting costs. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project financial status to stakeholders.

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
