Estimator/senior Estimator

Job Description

We're looking for an Estimator and Senior Estimator to join our team in Scotland delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

Taziker is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering contractor specialising in undertaking key maintenance, refurbishment and replacement works to critical UK infrastructure. Employing around 370 people, we operate across the UK supported by a Support Services office in Lancashire.

This position comes with a competitive salary.

Based at our East Kilbride office.

Responsibilities will include:



Preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering tenders.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate prices.

Identify and assess project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

Collaborate with operational teams to ensure estimates are practical and deliverable.

Participate in client meetings and presentations as required.

Person Specification



Essential Qualifications/Certificates:



Full UK Driving License

Essential Knowledge/Experience:



Proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering, ideally in rail, highways or port infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and construction methodologies.

Excellent analytical and commercial skills.

Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Candy, Causeway, or similar) and Microsoft Office

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
