The primary purpose of this vital role is to ensure our vessels are
maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner
. You will achieve this through the expert management of day-to-day electrical, electronic, and control engineering maintenance and upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineering Officer, the ETO's responsibilities include :
Maintenance & Repair:
Performing routine maintenance and repair of
all electrical equipment
onboard the vessels.
Troubleshooting:
Investigating and repairing failures of
electrical, electronic, and control equipment
.
PM System :
Being fully conversant with the vessels' PMS and utilizing the system correctly and to its full advantage for both routine and breakdown maintenance. You must ensure all records and work history are
fully updated
as work is completed.
Safety and Compliance:
Carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner while strictly adhering to company and statutory regulations, including the
ISM Code
and the vessel/company
SMS
.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
A valid
Certificate of Competency
.
Previous experience in a similar role within a maritime or comparable industry, ideally in a regulated environment.
