About the Job




Digital, Data, and Innovation are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting effective and efficient information technology solutions for ICBC Standard Bank PLC (ICBCS). DDI personnel use a combined in-house / outsourced approach to deliver and maintain critical systems used by the Global Markets business. It comprises of Run-the-Bank (RTB) team that specializes in production maintenance and a Change-the-Bank (CTB) team that specializes in project implementations.


What you'll be doing




We are seeking a talented and experienced eMarkets Support person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing functional expertise for our primary FX and Precious Metals eTrading platform smartTrade and additional client facing and internal user trading applications.


You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to troubleshoot issues, vendor engagement, implement and regression test configuration enhancements, perform functional and administrative changes that affect business logic and optimize the performance of the platform.


The ideal candidate should have a strong background and experience in eMarket systems at both a technical level and a business level for FX and Precious Metals, possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to communicate clearly to Front Office users and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Serve as a primary contact for eMarkets application support and administration providing expert level assistance out of London, for global regions. Deep understanding of eMarkets business logic and the operating model to ensure seemless and effective operation. Provide quick response to problems raised, following best practices and ICBCS governance standards. Identifying, assessing and communicating issues and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation where appropriate. Pro-actively responding to the demands and challenges of our business and prioritizing those solutions/demands and managing expectations of users/customers. Ensure system robustness and operational resilience, contriburting to knowledge sharing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of procedures within the eCommerce IT landscape. Actively participate in Functional and User Acceptance Testing for projects in the Bank that impact eCommerce IT ensuring alignment with business requirements.

What you'll need to be successful



Experience in eMarkets Support or a Client Services role. Knolwedge of routing logic, venue prioritization and latency sensitive configurations for optimal execution. Proficiency in user access management including roles, entitlements and trading permissions. Confident communication skills facing off to front office sales & trading desks and business stakeholders and articulate their requirements into actions. Good working knowledge of FX and Precious Metals trade processing, trade types, and straight-through processing. Strong knowledge of 3rd party trading and market data platform providers such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, TT and Ffastfill. Familiarity and experience with API integrations, FIX onboarding and web services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills:




Participation in release cycles including configuration testing, deployment and rollback planning. Understanding of the regulatory environment and impacts on eMarkets.
