Join Whitehouse Communications, a leading agency in integrated communications campaigns across public affairs, policy analysis, media relations, and crisis communications. Our agency engages with decision-makers in Brussels, Westminster, Whitehall, and devolved institutions, shaping the issues agenda. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic EU Affairs Intern to join our team in London for a rewarding 6-month internship. We pay all our interns the London Living Wage, and the majority transition into full-time jobs in public affairs.



As an EU Affairs Intern, you\'ll be at the heart of European politics, contributing to essential tasks such as:

  • Monitoring legislative and policy developments in European institutions and the evolving relationship between the EU and the UK.
  • Mapping stakeholders from European institutions, national authorities, and industry.
  • Conducting research, policy analysis, and preparing background notes and briefings.
  • Supporting public affairs activities, setting up meetings, and preparing documents.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of integrated communications strategies.
  • Helping organise events and webinars and contributing to PR activities like drafting blogs for Whitehouse website.
Mindset and Skills
  • We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:
  • Willingness to collaborate within an international team.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Understanding of EU institutions and the decision-making process.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media skills (additional tools are an asset).
Background and Languages
  • A relevant degree in European studies, Political Science, Communications, or a related field.
  • Native-speaker level or equivalent proficiency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • An interest in sustainability, public health, and/or technology.
