Mizuho 2024 Intern Programme - Europe Credit Department (Country & Corporate Research Team)

The Country & Corporate Research Team is part of the Europe Credit Department (ECD) and is responsible for assessing, monitoring and * Country Research Team: managing sovereign and country risk by understanding and analysing the countries in which the company is exposed, including corporate research.

  • Corporate Research Team: is to conduct research of a company, mainly from a corporate credit perspective and specific industries in order to provide managements with accurate credit recommendations.
The Europe Credit Department\'s principle responsibility is to maintain and monitor the quality of the loan book falling within its jurisdiction (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), in accordance with Bank policy and procedures.

As an intern in the Country & Corporate Research Team, you will be involved in analysing the economic and political risks of the countries in which Mizuho Bank operates in the EMEA region, providing effective industry and/or company analysis, identifying strengths and risks, competitive positions within industry sectors, and preparing cash flow projections as well as presenting the research report effectively to managements.

To join our team, you will need the ability to analyse balance sheets, income statement, and cash flows statement at first. There are also a number of essential qualifications such as * Good verbal and written communication / presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Solid time management skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills - word processing / spreadsheets.
Our interns will gain experience in Researches over a 10 week period with a view to being offered a position on the Mizuho 2025 Graduate Programme, commencing September 2025.

Applicants to the Mizuho 2024 Intern Programme will ideally be in their penultimate year of undergraduate study and be available for permanent employment from September 2025.
