European Business Development Director

To help us on this journey, we are looking for a Business Development Director who is ready to step forward with passion, energy, and curiosity to represent VCLS at the forefront of the Life Sciences sector.
Your Impact
As Business Development Director, you will be more than a dealmaker-you will be:

• A trusted advisor to clients, listening deeply, identifying needs, and helping them navigate the complex journey from discovery to patients.
• A connector, bringing together VCLS experts, start-up incubators, and our global network to build ecosystems of value around our clients.
• A leader, nurturing and developing a talented Business Development team to deliver excellence with speed and impact.
• The face of VCLS, representing our mission, values, and expertise to the broader Life Sciences community.

What You'll Do

• Drive growth by identifying, engaging, and winning new clients across the VCLS service portfolio.
• Guide and mentor the Business Development team in building compelling proposals, shaping strategic partnerships, and managing the full client lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership, BU Heads, and Marketing to design and execute a strategic growth plan for the Swiss and broader European markets.
• Cultivate and expand relationships with clients, partners, industry leaders, and VCLS experts to strengthen our presence and reputation.
• Leverage VCLS's unique assets-including our global regulatory and scientific expertise, incubator programs, and marketing platforms-to reinforce our leadership in the Life Science ecosystem.
• Represent VCLS at conferences, industry events, and networking forums, embodying our values and vision.
• Track performance, share insights, and provide feedback to inform strategy and anticipate client needs in a rapidly evolving market.
