JOB SUMMARY




The Training & Development Business Partner role is instrumental in the Central Loss Prevention team. With your passion for learning, innovative thinking, and creative design, you will be a critical part of designing and building training tools and development programmes that will help us deliver on our education strategy.

The role will rely on your ability to develop strong internal and external business relationships to provide technical and leadership training using industry-standard software such as Articulate 360, Vyond and Adobe products. You will storyboard and design the most appropriate learning solutions, including development programmes, training guides, eLearning, and digital content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Partner with stakeholders & Subject Matter Experts (SME) across the organisation to design technical training materials and tools for Loss Prevention and other functions. Seek to understand the needs and the voice of the customer when designing and creating learning solutions. Adopt a project management mindset, ensuring projects are managed according to critical milestones and deadlines and delivered on time. Demonstrate innovation in the design and build of training products in pursuit of the optimum delegate experience. Partner effectively with HR and L&D. Partner with Central Store Operations when projects overlap with associates from the retail audience. Develop relationships with our global Loss Prevention partners to ensure our European business has a voice at the table. Maintain flexibility across multiple projects with an ability to adapt and flex thinking and adjust priorities when required. Maintain knowledge of new and emerging technology and innovations. Identify opportunities to innovate, making recommendations and suggestions to drive business efficiency and productivity. Manage expectations within the workflow at all levels to update on progress. Think ahead to ensure risks or derailers are identified early and prioritised. Use interpersonal skills to engage with others, creating a culture of coaching and support. Undertake development programmes or training courses on an ongoing basis and apply to own learning.

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE



Previous instructional design experience or a strong interest in a training and development role. Good knowledge of learning technology software and the ability to educate others on its use. Demonstrate fresh, modern thinking to innovate our learning and development offer. Operational knowledge of a retail environment would be advantageous but not essential. European Home/Office-based (Watford campus) role. Highly organised with excellent time management skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and act on your initiative logically and decisively. Awareness of cultural differences and European market requirements. Ability to deliver both tactically and strategically whilst managing ambiguity. Ability to influence at all leadership levels to secure sponsorship. Quickly identify key stakeholders internally, externally, and cross-functionally. Lead others to produce output and deliver results. Ability to work to tight deadlines, act on own initiative, and demonstrate agility and pace to deliver requirements for the end user. Track record of identifying talent and developing self and others. Intermediate PC Skills (Microsoft Office Applications). It would be advantageous to have working knowledge of Articulate (Rise & Storyline), Workjam, Vyond and the Adobe software suite, including Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Illustrator. Language skills in German, Polish, Dutch, or Spanish would be advantageous, but not essential. Flexibility to travel within the UK & European markets when required. Full Driving License.
