European Material Planning Manager
Location:
Kings Lynn site week - 2 times per week home office.

As European Material Planning Manager at Germains, you'll ensure raw materials are available across our European sites--including the UK, Netherlands, and Spain--by developing accurate supply and forecasting plans aligned with customer demand. Working closely with site managers, procurement, and customer service teams, you'll help maintain smooth production.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career and gain greater exposure to European and global communications. The role involves working with teams in the UK, the Netherlands, and Spain, with occasional contact with North America. It offers increased accountability and a broader European perspective, along with the chance to collaborate across key areas of the business--including commercial teams, planning, site managers, and external suppliers--while gaining a clear view of our wider European operations.
Some key responsibilities will include:
+ To create, review and maintain the 12-18-month supply plan for the purchasing of raw materials into manufacturing sites based on production demand, stock levels and capacity information, in line with agreed processes.
+ Interpret regional demand plans, ensuring flexibility to match supply and demand in a timely manner.
+ Define, agree, review and manage inventory requirements to adapt to meet regional business needs in stock locations.
+ Responsible for the management of site stocks and the control of stock variances. Consistently challenge stock variances with manufacturing sites and report variance impact to the business.
+ To monitor and maintain the EU raw material risk model, identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies.
Skills and Experience
+
Comprehensive understanding of production processes and inventory management.
+
Effective analytical skills and demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Excel and complex operating systems.
+
Previous experience with customs compliance such as understanding of commodity codes and Incoterms.
+
Understanding of regulatory and H&S compliance with regards to raw materials purchasing and transport.
+
Professional level in English (verbally and written).
