We Are Locals, a community-first platform, is supporting one of our clients in finding an
EV Bike Delivery Person
to help deliver hot and cold meals to
schools and hospitals in the Bristol area
.
This role will start on an ad-hoc basis, beginning
Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, and Friday 12th September
for a few hours each day. If successful, the role could expand into regular weekly work or grow into a broader delivery/account management position.
It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys cycling, cares about the local community, and wants to contribute to sustainable, eco-friendly delivery solutions.
Responsibilities
Use an E-cargo bike to deliver hot and cold meals safely and on time to schools and hospitals.
Handle deliveries carefully to maintain food quality and temperature.
Navigate efficiently through Bristol streets using safe riding practices.
Interact politely with staff and customers, representing We Are Locals and our client positively.
Use initiative and problem-solving skills when faced with delivery or logistical challenges.
Requirements
Confident and capable cyclist (experience with E-cargo bikes a bonus, but training can be provided).
Reliability and flexibility to work on short notice.
Resilience in various weather conditions.
Good time management and ability to work independently.
Previous delivery or customer service experience is helpful but not essential.
Qualifications
No driving license required - ability to ride an E-cargo bike responsibly is essential.
Basic IT literacy to use delivery/logistics tools.
Familiarity with Bristol streets is an advantage.
Additional Information
The E-cargo bike is branded and equipped with a
CARGOBOX
container, allowing for safe and efficient food transport.
You'll be part of an eco-friendly initiative that supports local businesses and essential community services.
Pay & Benefits
Living Wage (minimum)
- paid hourly for time worked.
Flexible working hours, with potential to increase shifts as demand grows.
Paid even if scheduled and deliveries are light.
Opportunity to expand into a regular or account management role as the service develops.
