We're looking for an experienced social researcher passionate about using evidence to improve lives and strengthen communities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the L&Q Foundation, helping us evaluate impact, report on performance, and drive continuous learning and improvement.


You'll collaborate closely with Foundation teams and wider stakeholders to enhance evaluation frameworks, deliver clear and insightful reports, and support strategic decision-making. Your expertise will make sure we consistently deliver lasting social value and meet our ambitious goals.



As we sharpen our focus on impact, this role will be central to shaping our programmes' evaluation, contributing to annual impact reports, and fostering a culture of data-driven learning. We want someone who is curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and equally passionate about analytics and working with others to achieved outcomes.




Key responsibilities:




Lead the continual improvement of the Foundation's monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with strategic priorities, promoting consistent impact reporting across all activities. Produce regular performance reports and dashboards for leadership, ensuring data integrity and clarity, and actionable insights to inform decision-making. Translate complex data and evaluation findings into clear, engaging reports and communications for a variety of stakeholders ensuring consistent, accurate messaging that highlights the Foundation's impact. Foster a culture of learning by providing expert advice, training, and tools to enhance evaluation practices across community investment, grant funding, and other Foundation programmes. Collaborate across departments to ensure robust data integration, compliance, and impactful reporting.




What you'll bring:




A degree or significant professional experience in social research or a related field. Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, ideally within housing, local government, or the charitable sector. Practical knowledge of social value methodologies such as HACT and TOMs. Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data and communicating findings clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work flexibly, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and relevant analytical tools. A collaborative mindset and experience engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
