Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated evening care assistant to join our team, to work from 5pm until 10pm and who is also medication trained. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to seniors. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in our care home.
Duties
Provide personal care assistance and assisting residents to bed. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health. Assist with mobility and physical activities, as required. Good record keeping on care plans. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for case management and continuity of care.
Skills
Trained in medication, manual handling and basic first aid. Experience in nursing homes or care homes is highly desirable. Strong background in senior care, including patient care techniques. Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
