Evening Food Service Assistant - Birds Eye, Lowestoft
Join our dedicated catering team and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service at Birds Eye, Lowestoft. You will be responsible for the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the smooth running of evening food service operations. This role will also involve elements of lone working, so the ability to work independently and maintain high safety and service standards at all times is essential.
What you'll do:Support the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Deliver friendly and efficient customer service, including counter service and till operation. Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment, including equipment, service areas, and dining spaces. Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, restock vending machines, and keep service areas fully supplied. Check deliveries, record food temperatures, and adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations. Undertake training and complete other reasonable duties as required to support the catering operation.

What you bring:Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional approach. Ability to work safely and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance. Flexible and reliable with a positive approach to varying shifts and tasks. Experience with tills and electronic point-of-sale systems (desirable). Basic food hygiene knowledge, food handling experience, and understanding of COSHH principles (desirable). Ability to keep accurate records and use basic computer systems (desirable).
