We're a passionate customer service focused and industry leading linen hire service that serve the hospitality industry ranging from independent hotels to large restaurant chains, and we are on the lookout for a proactive, driven evening warehouse/loading supervisor to run a small team and to help keep things running smoothly.
Main Purpose of Job:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse/loading supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse in the evenings. This role involves supervising a small team of warehouse/loading staff, shunting vehicles ranging from 3.5t vans up to long wheel base 18t lorries, making sure all routes are sorted correctly and efficiently, making sure all hampers are scanned and loaded on to the correct vehicles/routes, ensuring health & safety compliance, and promoting a positive work environment.

Main Responsibilities:
Supervise and support warehouse/loading staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day loading of vehicles.
Ensure timely and accurate route/vehicle loading as per route sheets for the following day.
Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a clean and safe working environment.
Promote equal opportunities and a positive team culture in the workplace.
Monitor and enforce company policies, ensuring all staff adhere to procedures and standards.
Investigate and resolve any route discrepancies efficiently with the help of the transport team.
Help to continuously improve warehouse procedures where possible.
Act as a positive role model, leading by example and fostering a motivated team.
Safely move vehicles around the yard ready for loading and then park up after loading has finished.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem-solve under pressure.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Experience driving large vehicles would be an advantage but no a necessity as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Minimum car licence is a must.
Physically fit as heavy lifting may be required and it can get warm in the warehouse during the summer.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays (Except Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day)
2pm - 10:30pm

Salary:
28,000 - 30,000 per annum
