Main duties and responsibilities
Programme management
Produce standard procedures and checklists for the management and delivery of events as required
Provide any assistance required to develop a programme, source speakers, etc
Event management - marketing
Liaise with designers to create collateral for events
Integrate and maintain the corporate brand throughout events where appropriate
Manage communication lines with clients using a broad range of relevant communication mediums and maximising use of social media where relevant
Help to develop event marketing plans (social media, mailers etc)
Event logistics (virtual)
Recruit speakers and panellists for virtual and in-person events
Liaise with sponsors to ensure their requirements are met
Run technical tests and virtual 'green-room' during virtual events
Liaise with speakers to ensure they are prepared for events and provide them with any event or marketing collateral required
Manage event websites (in-person and virtual)
Event logistics (in-person)
Secure a suitable venue for the event
Secure quotations for room set up, and audio and visual requirements
Arrange for catering and refreshments at the event
Make arrangements with speakers, and guests for their travel, accommodation, remuneration, biographies and presentations, etc
In association with the marketing team, arrange the printing of the event programme, tickets, badges, general signage and other materials
Monitor reports regularly and share with your manager:
Progress against the monthly plan
Recommend action plans to address any shortfalls
Knowledge and skills
Graduate degree in events management or similar
3-5 years' experience in events sector is desirable
Knowledge of budgetary control and negotiation
Good communication skills for liaising with customers, speakers, sponsors and team members
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
Able to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously at times
Desire to learn about the textile & apparel industry
Experience with MailerLite or similar software desirable
