Work Pattern - 40 hrs pw Mon - Fri (some Saturday shifts may be required due to the nature of the business)

Job Introduction

We are currently on the hunt for a bright, talented Event Designer to join our Heritage Portfolio team in Edinburgh.

In this role you will be responsible for the efficient pricing and planning of all events to ensure profit lines are met. This exciting opportunity will enable you to be accountable for small to medium sized events.

You will be a creative individual who thrives on delivering memorable experiences, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable. A keen interest in food development with creativity in this area will be key to your success.

Main Responsibilities

What you\'ll do:
  • Conduct all site visits with potential clients with sufficient knowledge of the venue to ensure that all events are workable for the wider team
  • Communicate with clients in an appropriate manner - face to face/phone/email as appropriate for the client
  • Ensure that all events are accurately costed in-line with the companies budgetary and pricing policies
  • Record and accurately communicate the event details and requirements to all departments and suppliers
  • Conduct client menu tastings
  • Ensure the highest level of service and attention to detail is given to clients throughout the whole process
  • Be creative with solutions to fulfil client requirements
  • Be proactive in ensuring all clients are well informed, comfortable and happy
  • Fully utilise our event booking system; venue hire, event packages and diary updates for provisional/confirmed events

  • Someone who has an inbuilt attention to detail and efficiency, and who is also able to see the bigger picture, an enquiring mind
  • A passionate interest in food - knowledge of current trends, someone who talks about and gets excited about food with a flexible, adaptable innovative approach
  • An ambitious, fun and positive individual who is an excellent communicator and immaculately presented but still wants to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in
