Job Description


The Event Security Coordinator, assigned to one of Pinkerton\'s largest global clients, will request specific risk assessments and subsequently assess and interpret that information in order to provide both strategic and tactical event plans. With this information, the Coordinator triages registered events and assigns to the appropriate Event Coordinator within the EMEA region. This role will provide critical feedback to management regarding the event process while aligning with the client\'s global procedures. The position is engaged with senior management to deliver security advice and clear presentations which withstands scrutiny in a succinct and timely manner. Key regional stakeholders, event agencies, and other cross functional partners will require a high level of product delivery to maintain confidence in the Global Events Security Team. Domestic and international travel is required.

Essential Functions:

1. Represent Pinkerton\'s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2. Coordinate the assignment of registered events throughout the EMEA region maintaining global alignment as per client policies.
3. Manage in office time (IOT) events by providing appropriate security solutions that are within budget constraints;
+ Provide detailed accounts of budget spending, savings, and offset costs.
4. Anticipate, identify, and evaluate emerging risks and/or upcoming internal and external events that may impact the client\'s personnel, assets and/or reputation;
5. Develop and maintain an on-site/off-site/virtual event security plan, including staffing and deployment where necessary, with an intent to minimize threat, manage vulnerabilities, and mitigate risk to the business;
+ Oversee event support on the ground where required. Whether the ESC is present in person or monitoring remotely, he or she will quality assure the implementation of the security plan and continuously review the effectiveness of the plan.
6. Complete venue reconnaissance and associated written recommendations to enhance the overall effectiveness of the security arrangements, including supporting rationale, contingencies for raised threat, policy/decision log, and an audit trail.
7. Represent the Global Security Services team during the planning and implementation of all in-person, virtual, and hybrid events throughout EMEA.
8. Exchange appropriate information and intelligence with external business teams during the planning and delivery of onsite and offsite events;
+ Collaborate with Global Security Services (GSS) and cross-function partners to schedule and facilitate events both nationally and internationally to ensure a consistent and secure experience and environment to all employees and guests during events.
9. Liaise with regional event organizers, external security vendors, external event agencies, and other clients to comply with regional and global security standards, processes, requirements, and local legislation and to assist with pre-event planning and ensure compliance;
+ Ensure an appropriate accreditation and validation system is in place for all delegates, visitors and other security personnel accredited by the organizers.
10. Lead teams of services to deliver event security which may include Reception, Security and Brand Ambassadors during the event.
11. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), metrics, and reporting, as requested.
12. Report any security incidents which occur during events, report, and monitor lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.
13. Build and maintain relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including local law enforcement personnel, emergency medical services, business representatives and other government agencies to maintain security, service delivery, and operational excellence.
14. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Five or more years within the security industry with experience coordinating geographically diverse teams, completion of risk assessments, and crisis management. Pinkerton is an inclusive employer who seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
