Rosebery Steading is part of the Rosebery Estates portfolio of hospitality venues.

Rosebery Steading is a luxury wedding and events exclusive use venue, nestled in the Midlothian countryside, near Gorebridge and only 20 minutes from Edinburgh.

We host weddings, special occasion and corporate events for up to 120 and have onsite accommodation for 24 guests across the Steading.

We're looking for friendly, polite and courteous Events Stewards to assist over our summer events season, and possibly beyond.

The role of Event Steward would suit someone who is a self-starter and enthusiastic. Someone with excellent communication skills who is confident in dealing with the public - it would be ideal for someone looking to get into events to gain work experience (you will have the opportunity to shadow the event managers).

The role will primarily be weekend work, but there will be the option for additional midweek shifts on occasion too.

You need to enjoy working as part of a team, love being front of house dealing with people and have physical stamina to work on your feet.

The role is typically a casual position. Flexibility is essential as many events may take place in the evenings or at weekends ?outside of normal working hours.

Presenting at all times, a smart, alert and visible presence at the venue Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures Greeting, assisting and directing people attending the event Light cleaning duties Reporting any security incidents or concerns and dealing with emergency situations Professional and smiley manner Excellent verbal communication skills Attention to detail Venues are located rurally so a car would be essential Willingness to help and help with ad hoc duties as arise throughout the day
Rate of Pay: Competitive hourly rate.
