Working style:

Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office. We have hubs located in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford.

Applicants will need to reside within or close to the Bristol area as travel to the Bristol office is required on a regular basis.

The role:



The OpenAthens Events team organise, deliver and attend a packed calendar of global events for both in-person international events and online events.

As the Events and community coordinator, you will provide essential support for the OpenAthens events and community activity across the year. This includes exhibiting at international tradeshows, supporting a programme of webinars and community events, events with channel partners and the delivery of key customer conferences and roundtables.



What you'll be doing:



Working with the events team and wider OpenAthens marketing team to understand the specific audience groups for OpenAthens events, along with the aims and objectives of each event and the support required for marketing, delivery and evaluation. Supporting event campaigns, managing content, logistics, planning elements, and handling registrations and communications before, during, and after events. Helping with reporting, feedback collection and data entry, capturing event and webinar campaign data and interactions in our CRM when required. Coordinating stakeholders around webinars and events ensuring activities are delivered on time. Booking our presence at external events and coordinating sponsorship deliverables, assisting with set up, breakdown and post event arrangements including collecting post-event feedback and files for internal records. Coordinating speaker logistics including registrations, bios, abstracts, and travel or virtual access, supporting with proposal submissions, prep calls, and presentation materials.

What we are looking for:



A relevant professional qualification (events, marketing, business) or experience in a role at an equivalent level. Experience of supporting the delivery of in-person and online events. Strong project management, organisational and prioritisation skills. Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to extract and evaluate information from a wide range of sources. Be happy to travel, including overnight stays for on-site support at UK and international based events.
